SUMMARY :

The Groundskeeper Helper works alongside the Head Groundskeeper to efficiently maintain and improve Andersen Corporation properties in Bayport, MN.

This position requires a wide range of skills including an eye for detail, the use of landscaping tools, use of various weed and pest control supplies as well as safe management and storing, and problem-solving skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Operates all grounds keeping equipment and able to work at heights while operating aerial lift platform equipment
• Ensures that all chemicals are handled applied, stored, and disposed in a safe manner as instructed by Head Groundskeeper.
• Seasonal clean-up and winterization
• Performs window washing
• Performs picking up and emptying trash
• Performs lot management including pothole repair and snow removal duties

Performs fence, post, railing and bumpers repair

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver's license
• Be familiar with grounds keeping techniques for lawn, trees, flowers, shrubs, etc.
• Be physically fit and capable of working outside in all weather conditions
• Be able to safely operate all grounds keeping equipment (lawn mowers, utility tractor with bucket and blade, skid loader, snow plow truck, dump truck, aerial lift, etc.)

Be able to safely operate all power hand tools (weed whip, hedge trimmer, chainsaw, etc.)

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS :

• Ability to perform operator maintenance, adjustments and repairs on all grounds keeping equipment
• Previous experience operating a skid-steer
• Knowledge of using the appropriate PPE (personal protection equipment)
• Have good communication skills to work with other associates in the facility
• Have a good and steady work record

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
• Ability to occasionally squat, crawl, lift heavy material
• Ability to occasionally lift / carry 10 - 100 pounds
• Ability to carry out repetitive actions such as simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulating

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
